Usually she’s the one doing the stripping, but it looks like Courtney Stodden will have to just be a housewife this Thanksgiving. The 18-year old blonde bombshell was let go of her premiere gig at one of West Hollywood’s hottest gay bars, The Abbey, scheduled for Thanksgiving Eve.
First of all, who knew she could sing? This is more surprising than her marrying her sugar daddy husband back in 2011.
Known as an” international pinup girl, VH1 Reality star and pop culture icon” (I beg to differ,) Stodden was pulled from The Abbey from what her mother calls “too much press and controversy.”
While Stodden’s management believes The Abbey cancelled her performance due to their owner, nightlife giant SBE’s fear of the anxious crowds and paparazzi, the West Hollywood gay fan base is as heartbroken as she is. According to her rep, Courtney “has a huge gay fan base and truly loves and adores everyone in the community.” As she looks for “alternate opportunities…to make her debut club performance,” she won’t be singing her single, “Reality;” she’ll just be trying to live it.
She might not be able to do a pole song and dance for “the biggest party night of the year,” but maybe this cancellation should help her get a leg up on the stuffing and mashed potatoes.
We understand she is upset and all, but maybe
her father husband can make her feel better. After all, father Doug knows best.
