Muppets co-creator dies at 78


Jane Henson- who helped co-create the children’s hit Muppets with husband Jim Henson- has lost her battle to cancer Tuesday evening at her home in Connecticut.

Jane established the Jim Henson Legacy in 1992 after her husband’s 1990 death, as well as the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and the Jane Henson Foundation for philanthropic work.

She leaves behind five children, as well as the household names Kermit the frog, Miss Piggy, and Elmo.
