Now this might be the best news ever!
The Roundabout Theater Company announced Wednesday that the ultra-fab triple threat Michelle Williams will star in their revival of John Kander and Fred Ebb’s popular musical Cabaret playing Sally Bowles, a role that made Liza Minnelli a household name and Oscar winning actress in Bob Fosse’s 1972 film.
The actress will be joining actor Alan Cumming, who will be reprising his role as the cabaret M.C., which won him a Tony in the 1998 revival on Broadway.
When asked about performing in a musical last year, Williams told Inquirer Entertainment, “What’s so liberating about singing and dancing is that it turns your head. You coast on this wave of muscle memory. You literally can’t think while you’re performing. There’s a kind of transcendence to it.”
And we have no doubt transcendent is what the show will be. Previews begin March 21 and opening night is April 24.
Lights, camera, action! After almost a year of searching, E.L. James has found the perfect dominatrix.
It has been confirmed that Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam will be playing Christian Grey alongside Dakota Johnson, who will be portraying Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated film, ready to hit theaters August 1, 2014.
The news was posted via Twitter today by the author herself.
We all know the movie is never as good as the book, but we have no doubt this film will definitely be hot and steamy. You’ve got our approval, E.L.
The long awaited news has finally arrived: former mentor Harry Connick Jr. will officially be joining Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez at the judges table for the 13th season of the Fox reality show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The news comes after Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun and hit maker Dr. Luke turned down the offer.
Randy Jackson, the last of the original judges will be moving on to mentor the contestants.
So the question that remains is: will American Idol crumble or will HCJ help bring it back to number one?
Stay tuned. Season 13 premieres on January 15, 2014.
At 27 years old, the Disney channel child star is finally coming out.
The actress recently tweeted:
She later told E!, “I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted . . . I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”
The former cheetah girl’s sexuality first stirred the pot in May 2012 when rumors were afloat that she was living with openly gay model and actress AzMarie Livingston. She sent out a series of tweets saying,
“My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”
“However that is my right as a human being whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone…And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life.”
You go girl. Sing it loud and sing it proud.
Now it’s official: we don’t know anyone who works harder than Ryan Seacrest.
The TV host, radio deejay, and executive producer has recently announced that he will host NBC’s 24-hour live competition series, which will involve “battling one another as they test the limits of their knowledge, endurance and will to win.”
NBC’s Paul Telegdy said in a statement: “When people see Ryan Seacrest, whether at the Emmys, the Oscars or New Year’s Eve, he is at the epicenter of national events.” “He is a broadcaster, in all the traditional sense, but also in the most contemporary — he is an accomplished host of live TV and a master of social media and pop culture. This makes him perfect for The Million Second Quiz.”
Seacrest added, “I’m so excited to be hosting this new live game show on NBC, as it’s really a fun and different format that I believe will generate lots of fans across different platforms.”
The show will air September 9th.
Looks like the saying should be “Keep your enemies close and your friends closer.”
Only two weeks after Andrew Silverman filed for divorce from wife Lauren, she is coming out to say that she is pregnant with her first child…with Simon Cowell!
While a source told Us Weekly, “Divorce has been in the works for a while now,” we can’t help but think Cowell was more than just “a shoulder to cry on.”
The New York socialite has been cited for adultery from her real estate husband and should be expected in court with the X-factor judge as a co-respondent and witness. If he is taken to the stands, he will be forced to tell all of his relationship with Silverman.
So what do we think? Was Cowell “the other man” for some time or did this conception come as a rebound gone wrong?
Is it getting hot in here…or is it just Channing Tatum?
According to his official website, Magic Mike is not just becoming a sequel; it’s heading to the big apple!
We don’t know much, but we do know People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” will be producing alongside Reid Carolin, the film’s director Steven Soderbergh, and co-producers Gregory Jacobs and Nick Wechsler.
Word is, the songs will be written by the Tony and Pullitzer-winning team Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. So maybe the musical will have some “Next to Normal” spin and badass songs to go with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s book.
It looks like this won’t be a show for children of all ages, but it definitely will be a show we need to get our hands on. When do tickets go on sale?!?!?

Looks like Miley sang it best; they can’t stop, they won’t stop!
After Billy Ray filed for divorce in 2010 and then withdrew it, we thought the Cyrus clan would go back to normal. But it wasn’t until Tish refiled for last month in L.A., that it seemed as if the happiness was over.
Oh, no! You can’t keep these two away from each other. According to a statement given by their publicist on Monday, the two will (once again) work on their relationship.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” they said. And after 22 years of couples therapy, “they have really opened up our communication in amazing ways.”
We hope all the best for Billy Ray and Tish. We don’t think we can take any more lashing out on Twitter from daughters Miley and Noah; so achy breaky heart breaking!
It looks like the whole world will be celebrating tonight. A very congratulations over in London to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The baby might have come past its due date, but at around 4 pm Monday Will and Kate were happily surprised by a son, who will be third in line to the throne. He weighed in at a whopping 8 lb. 6 oz (ouch!)
Another birth to celebrate, this time over in the states, is that of Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott and husband Chris Tyrell’s daughter Eisele Kaye, who was born on Monday in Nashville.
Tyrell told People, “She is incredibly gorgeous,” speaking of their 7 lb. 13 oz. baby.
And of course a huge congratulations to E!‘s Kristina Guerrero who welcomed son Mateo Cruz Ångel with hubby Gibby Cevallos on Thursday afternoon.
Yay. We LOVE baby season!
